Recruiting Veterans & Businesses
The Wayne County Office of Veterans Affairs in Honesdale issues cards to honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Services, who can use it to access savings on goods and services from a variety of businesses across the county.
The Wayne County Veterans Discount Program (WCVDP) got underway back in 2011 and includes multiple businesses throughout the county. The Veterans Affairs Office works closely with the County Sheriff's Department to produce the ID cards.
Free Service
There is no charge to veterans to receive the card. Just stop by the Veterans Affairs Office at 314 10th Street in Honesdale, with your DD214 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Veterans Affairs Office is also recruiting more companies to participate. To join, businesses must offer a discount on goods or services to Veterans who provide their WCVDP Identification Card. Interested businesses please contact the Veterans Affairs Office for a merchant application.
