Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell today announced the arrest of Troy Terry Kidd, Jr., age 33, of Palmerton PA. Kidd was arrested on November 7, 2023, at approximately 1800 hours after being caught in Honesdale Borough parked in his car and engaging in sexual relations with a minor. Kidd is charges with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of a minor, corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and possession of marijuana, each graded as a felonies except the marijuana charge. Further investigation may result in additional charges filed against Kidd.
According to the police criminal complaint affidavit of probable cause filed by Wayne County Sergeant Keith Colombo, Kidd’s vehicle was spotted in the parking lot of the Honesdale Pool off Route 191. After making contact with Kidd, and further discovering that Kidd was having sexual relations with minor child. Upon further discussion with the minor, Sergeant Colombo discovered that Kidd had been paying the minor child for sex and that it had been going on for over the past year.
Wayne County Detectives and Hawley Borough Police Officers assisted in the investigation and arrest.
A preliminary arraignment was conducted by Magisterial District Judge Bonnie Carney and Kidd was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility on $75,000.00 secured bail. His next scheduled court appearance is November 15, 2023 at 9:00 am at central court.
