This training will present an overview of epilepsy/seizures and acquaint nurses with new seizure classifications, seizure first-aid, latest medical treatments and devices, and medications to allow them a better understanding of epilepsy and implications for care. The training will also present the social, psychological, and cognitive impacts that epilepsy may have for a student. There will be time at the end for an interactive Q&A.
This training is approved for Act 48 and 58 credits. A certificate of participation will be given at the completion of the training as well as epilepsy resources.
