This presentation will walk your business owner clients through some of the concerns they may have in planning for the continuation or disposition of their business interests and estate taxes. The presentation will also look at some of the things that might be considered to alleviate business owner concerns. Particular topics discussed include: types of assets and property, forms of businesses and tax implications, valuing your business, buy-sell agreements, and wills, trusts and gifts.
Understanding the foundations of various financial concepts is critical to a person’s long-term financial well-being. This non-branded presentation provides a high level overview of five common financial topics, all brought together into a single session: Saving, Investing, Protecting, Retiring and Estate Planning. Topics like compound interest, asset allocation, various insurance types, retirement income and estate planning tools are all included. At end of discussion, audiences should have enough knowledge to understand financial basics. This presentation was created in response for advisor’s need to have a one-time presentation for use with select audiences, and not part of an ongoing employee education series.

This group provide support and resources for the LGBTQ Community with an eight-week curriculum for adults, age 18 and older.
Sessions focus on identifying and discussing coping skills; building a community of trust and connectedness; sharing strength, hope and experiences; family involvement and support; peer support; and community resources.
The group is facilitated by Samantha Burkhardt, LPC, and Kirsten Havira, LPC.

The eight-week program will also provide free nicotine replacement therapy—patches, gum, lozenges – for one month to participants. It’s presented by the PA Area Health Education Center and Wayne Memorial’s Community Relations Department with funding from the American Lung Association. The clinic will also examine medications that can increase your success, lifestyle changes to make quitting easier, how to prepare for your “quit day,” coping strategies for managing stress and avoiding weight gain and how to stay smoke-free for good.
