Hydrilla is an aquatic invasive plant that can out compete many native organisms and disrupt ecological systems within and around an infested body of water. It is notoriously difficult and expensive to manage and can quickly make boating, swimming and fishing nearly impossible if left untreated. Hydrilla has been identified in Wayne County's Lake Alden and recorded by the PA Natural Heritage Program in the PA iMapInvasives database. This workshop will focus on identification of Hydrilla and management options as well as methods to prevent the spread of aquatic invasives between waterbodies.
