  1. Annual Seedling Sale Orders

    March 1, 2019, 6:30 AM - March 29, 2019, 4:00 PM @ Wayne Conservation District

    The sale features seedlings and transplants of a variety of native trees, shrubs and ornamentals, many of which are favored by wildlife. This year’s offering includes two seed mixes – one to attract and sustain pollinating insects like honeybees and butterflies and the other to provide food and shelter for wildlife like turkey and deer. The mixes are made up of native seeds and can be purchased by the ounce for small areas and by the pound for larger plots. You can buy Red Pine, Norway Spruce, Concolor Fir, Chestnut Oak, Butternut, Chokecherry, Silky Dogwood and Button Bush along with Black Eyed Susans and Purple Cone Flower, as well as blue bird nesting boxes, tree and tree shelters are also available.

    The Blanketeers return to make blankets for children in the area. No sewing skills are needed. Teens and adults are welcome. Blankets go to local shelters, VIP and Wayne Memorial Hospital. Additional meetings set for Fridays, April 19 and May 17.

  2. Sounds Like Teen Spirit Open Mic

    March 22, 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ The Cooperage Project

    designed to provide an opportunity to showcase the talent of our community’s youth, Sounds Like Teen Spirit encourages school-aged students to share their performing art on stage at The Cooperage in Honesdale. If you play guitar, rap, perform stand-up comedy, write poetry, sing, juggle or play keyboards this is the perfect place to get some experience and gain inspiration in front of a supportive audience. Please note: all ages are invited to come watch and enjoy the evening, but only the area’s youth will be invited to step up on stage.
