Transition assessments are crucial for empowering students to learn about themselves so they can take an active role in their career development and post-secondary goal planning process. This series will address how various agency partners use assessments so that Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team members can consider which agency is best positioned to conduct a specific assessment and determine how information will be shared between agencies and the process to obtain required parental consent.
"Overview of Assessment for Transition Planning" is designed to increase awareness of transition assessment requirements to help students with disabilities understand and identify their current needs, preferences and interest as they relate to the demands of current and future working, educational, living, peronsal and school environments.
