  2. Lakewood Food Pantry distribution

    October 16, 2019, 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM @ Northern Wayne Family Health Center

    In case of inclement weather, please call 253-4646 two hours before the start of your distribution day for an automated message. For information about how to register with a pantry, you should call 253 - 4262. Please bring large brown paper bags & plastic bags with you each month to recycle. Bring Campbell’s labels to distribute to schools. If you are unable to attend, you may ask someone to pick your food up for you. However, they must have your pantry card and a note/proxy giving them permission to pick up your food

  3. LGBTQ Therapy Group

    This group provide support and resources for the LGBTQ Community with an eight-week curriculum for adults, age 18 and older. Sessions focus on identifying and discussing coping skills; building a community of trust and connectedness; sharing strength, hope and experiences; family involvement and support; peer support; and community resources. The group is facilitated by Samantha Burkhardt, LPC, and Kirsten Havira, LPC.

    This is an introductory workshop where you’ll learn beginning skills on the ShopBot Desktop CNC carving machine. Work on your own project, during hands on,one-on- one instruction. Ages 13 and up, underage people must be accompanied by an adult for the entire session. Registration is required and the class is limited to six people.

  6. Basic ABA for Families and Support Staff

    Applied Behavior Analysis) is a science-based teaching modality which has proven to be the most effective way of teaching students on the spectrum. This is not only for those with ASD, but a highly effective method of teaching any student (young or old) with a challenging learning disability. Ms. Adams will take questions in advance from participants looking for ideas to address challenging behaviors parents face while out in the community. This is a must see for parents who have children in any Autistic support class or EI Program. Presented by Kelly Adams of BCBA.
