    Kid's Lunch Party is a completely free summer lunch program provided in partnership with the Wayne Highlands School District. There is no need to sign up, and there are no income requirements. . There will be fun activities like arts & crafts, music, dancing, story time and more! No lunch July 4. This summer, a local food item purchased from the Lackawaxen Food Hub will also be highlighted each week.

  2. Glowforge Laser Cutter Training

    In three sessions, learn beginning and intermediate skills on the Glowforge Laser cutting machine. Work on your own project, hands on with one-on- one instruction. Class Size: Limited to 8, minimum of 3, registration is required. Instructor Lisa Glover is a designer with a background in Engineering, Architecture and Fine Art. She has run 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, created STEAM curricula for several summer camps, and is now helping millions of kids become makers through her work at Highlights for Children. Her passion is merging technology with craft to design creations that inspire kids of all ages.

    Explore forest and water habitats to find creatures in, under and around Lacawac. Campers will build positive relationships with nature and each other through creative play, experiential nature walks, and hands-on activities.     This series is led by Colleen Janz, the executive director of The Susan B Anthony Birthplace Museum located in Massachusetts. She talks about the life and legacy of Susan B Anthony! All ages are welcome, a craft will be provided. Stay afterwards to enjoy a free lunch during our Kid's Lunch Party!

  6. Lakewood Area Food Pantry Distribution

    Please bring large brown paper bags & plastic bags with you each month to recycle. Bring Campbell’s labels to distribute to schools. If you are unable to attend, you may ask someone to pick your food up for you. However, they must have your pantry card and a note/proxy giving them permission to pick up your food.   8. Acoustic Bluegrass Jam at The Cooperage

    At the monthly Acoustic Bluegrass Jam, all levels of players and instruments are welcome. If you don't feel like being in the spotlight you can lay low and pick along all while learning a thing or two from others in attendance. This entirely acoustic jam is a great opportunity for new players to learn how to interact musically with others. Not musically inclined but love the genre? Sit back and enjoy the melodies provided by amazing musicians right here in our community.
