  1. Glowforge Laser Cutter Training

    In three sessions, learn beginning and intermediate skills on the Glowforge Laser cutting machine. Work on your own project, hands on with one-on- one instruction. Class Size: Limited to 8, minimum of 3, registration is required. Instructor Lisa Glover is a designer with a background in Engineering, Architecture and Fine Art. She has run 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, created STEAM curricula for several summer camps, and is now helping millions of kids become makers through her work at Highlights for Children. Her passion is merging technology with craft to design creations that inspire kids of all ages.

This summer, a local food item purchased from the Lackawaxen Food Hub will also be highlighted each week.

    Join Conservation Leaders in Pike and Wayne Counties for a week of fun, adventure and hands-on learning. High school students will be immersed in a week long resident camp at the beautiful and historic Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station. Campers will experience science along-side local environmental professionals and resident university researchers. Field Trips: High Ropes Course Sustainable Farm Tour Boat Sampling on Wallenpaupack Kayaking on the Delaware River Program Highlights Canoeing Lake Lacawac Analyze lake samples in a lab Bird Banding Leadership Activities Hikes and Campfires and MORE! Open to youth ages 13 to 17.

  4. Light Up with LEDs

    The workshop gives the participant a basic understanding of the tools of an electronics hobbyist. Learn how to: Read a circuit diagram, understand 5 electronic symbols, understand the operation of an LED, apply Ohm’s Law in an LED circuit and solder electronic components to build an LED project. Registration is required. Instructor Anthony Komar is an experienced Electronic, Software and Systems Engineer that includes delivering training material at major US companies. He has served the community as a Scout leader and as founder of Preserve Wayne Upland Recreation.
