Smaller and more informal setting will allow people with disabilities who are considering independent living, family members and other circles of support, professional staff, housing providers to ask specific questions.
Snacks will be provided and the building is fully accessible with adequate free parking.
Join staff from the Self Determination Housing Project of Pennsylania to discuss independent living for people with disabilities and their families. This is a free event. We will be focusing on topics such as: first steps to take towards living in the community, what needs to be in place before you make the final move, and how to build your personal network so you can be successful. Diane Belnavis, Juniper Hill Farms, is an expert in the field of housing and independent living and will provide valuable insight and tips into what steps and information a person needs to think about in order to be as successful as possible living independently.
