This Year's Event includes: Petting Trucks, Egg Collecting, Animal Petting, Face Painting, Photo Booth, Play in a Giant Hand Crafted Lotus Flower Art Car, Snacks, Games, Activities, Prizes, and Treats. Local businesses will have their trucks, tractors, and machinery on display for the children to pet, touch and sit in. As you visit each truck or activity, you will collect plastic eggs which you will be able to redeem for candy and other assorted prizes. Also come play with the goats and bunnies courtesy of the Gately Family. Snacks, Photo Booth, Lotus Car, & Face Painting courtesy of the Elements Festival. Dr. S. Robert Powell of the Carbondale Historical Society will discuss “The Delaware and Hudson Canal Company Gravity Railroad: Five Configurations" in the morning.
In the afternoon, historical organizations, including the Wayne County Historical Society, Wallenpaupack Historical Society, Carbondale Historical Society, Waymart Area Historical Society and many other members of the Thomas Kennedy Local History Roundtable, will set up displays in the Blue Room, offering free handouts, books and other items for sale, and knowledgeable volunteers ready to talk about their areas and societies.
