With a bit of ingenuity, some paint and paste, an old and unwanted library book will become a fantastic new blank journal/scrapbook by the magic of your own hand. In this workshop you will learn about making corrugated cardboard look like wood, the many possible uses of newspaper and a simple white glue as well as an easy bookbinding technique. This award-winning documentary takes a hard look at how politicians carve electoral districts for partisan gain. Featuring former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, a strong advocate for fair redistricting, the film examines a hidden political process whereby politicians choose their voters—and what it took for California voters to reform the process.
The 80-minute film will be followed by audience Q&A and an update on the effort being led by Fair Districts PA, a statewide nonpartisan organization dedicated to changing the way Pennsylvania redraws its electoral districts.
