Many of Honesdale’s fine stores and businesses will host "Open Houses" with seasonal warmth for their shoppers, clients and visitors. We invite you to browse through the great variety of shops, learn about the wonderful local services, and dine at one of the many restaurants and cafes.
The Fred Miller Pavilion on Honesdale’s historic Main Street will be alive with holiday music on both days. On Saturday, November 24, beautifully clad Victorian strollers will promenade downtown and craft vendors will dot Main Street near the pavilion. Make sure to look for Santa and his buddies as you stroll the streets. The Greater Honesdale Partnership will also be offering a FREE holiday shopper’s trolley from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. This free trolley will not only offer shoppers and visitors the chance to leave their car parked in one location throughout the day, but will offer a historic tour of the downtown area for their enjoyment.

Bring your coat and stop by the last 2018 tour of the Old Stone Jail. Learn about the building, the Sheriff and his wife and the prisoners of the Wayne County Old Stone Jail. Built in 1859, this jail stands almost as it did when it was in use.

"Winter Wonderland"is the theme of the Wayne County Historical Society Holiday Open House. Stop by for something hot to drink, a yummy snack and plan to stay and grab some bargains from our he gift shop. Dick Smith will be highlighted during the evening so come and learn about this hometown man who became famous for penning the lyrics of Winter Wonderland.
