This conference is designed to educate professionals about supporting individuals who are aging with an intellectual disability and those that care for them. A presentation by Dan Lightman, Ph.D., Take Charge of Change by Choice, kicks off the conference with three sets of breakout sessions on Differentiating Mood Disorders from Cognitive Changes or Impact of Trauma on the Caregiving Expericence; Seniors & Bullying or Compassion Fatigue,; and Substance Abuse & Medication Misues or Dealing with Grief and Loss.
