Conservation, Extension Host Hemp Production Workshop

HONESDALE  -- The Wayne County Penn State Extension Office and the Wayne Conservation District Office partner to offer a Hemp production workshop to educate producers looking to raise Hemp for CBD production.

Bruce Ludovicy, a Hemp farmer from Orange County, NY, and partner from the Hudson Valley Biomass Processing Plant located near Rileyville, PA, will be speaking about his experience with growing Hemp as well as potential opportunities available for local producers interested in growing Hemp in our area. 

Penn State Extension Horticulture Educator, Krystal Snyder, will be discussing the basics of Hemp production, permitting, and key points to growing Hemp in Pennsylvania.

The workshop will be held Friday, Dec. 13, from 11 am to 2 pm, at the Wayne County Park Street Complex, 648 Park Street, Honesdale. Lunch will be provided by he Penn State Extension Office in Wayne County.
