Pop Up Club

In the fall of 2017, The Cooperage Project began offering a Pop Up Club for Middle School age students at Wayne Highlands School District. The after-school program provides a wide range of activities in and around the community, conquering topics from coding and robotics to pizza making at a local restaurant.Pop Up Club members learn about the foods they eat and how to prepare them.

The youngsters help formulate their own adventures, helping to engage their interest in the various subjects be thPop Up Club kids make works of art.ey academic or mundane. The effort has been a great success, and the Wallenpaupack Area School District has expressed an interest in expanding the club to serve that population as well.

The Cooperage Project recently received a two-year, $50,000 grant from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support the free after-school program that puts an emphasis on STEAM subjects. The grant allowed the Pop Up Club to expand to three days a week come fall.
