Magisterial District Judges
The primary function of the Prothonotary’s Office is to file and maintain the records for the court, including civil actions, judgments and liens, Domestic Relations, equity actions and eminent domain proceedings. The Prothonotary. elected every four years, also maintains criminal records in both adults and juvenile matters. As Clerk of the Orphan’s Court, the office is responsible for filing estate claims, adoption proceedings and more.
